Motorhome Breakdown – From Only £59 (including Caravan/Trailer)

MyInsurance have negotiated competitive Car and Motorhome breakdown assistance schemes for MyInsurance customers from an Award Winning provider which includes a Caravan, Trailer or Horse Trailer that is being towed at the same time.

The Motorhome Breakdown policy is designed specifically for MyInsurance insurance clients with a motor vehicle that is:

  • Less than 3.5 tonnes (including any load carried) with engine less than 4000cc
  • Less than 7 metres long, 3 metres high and 2.25 metres
  • Less than 16 years old for UK cover (less than 11 years old for European cover)

towing a caravan or trailer that separately is also within the weight and dimension limits described above.

Cover options offered include:

  1. UK Breakdown Assistance & Recovery - Only £59
    • AA Nearest Equivalent Cover = £129 as at 1 February 2023
    • RAC Equivalent Cover = £126 as at 1 February 2023
  2. UK Breakdown Assistance, Recovery & Doorstep Assistance – Only £79
    • AA Nearest Equivalent Cover = £159 as at 1 February 2023
    • RAC Equivalent Cover = £180 as at 1 February 2023
  3. EU Breakdown Assistance, Recovery & Doorstep Assistance – Only £109
    • AA Nearest Equivalent Cover = £200 as at 1 February 2023
    • RAC Equivalent Cover = £200+ as at 1 February 2023

Cover includes:

  1. UK Breakdown Assistance & Recovery
    • Your inability to continue your journey in the vehicle because of: Mechanical breakdown, accidental damage, vandalism, fire, theft or attempted theft, flat battery, accidental damage to tyres, key breakage, keys locked within vehicle, lack of fuel, the use of incorrect fuel, flat tyre, or puncture
    • Roadside Assistance callout and up to one hour's labour for assistance more than 1 mile from your home and, if necessary, the transportation to the nearest repairer up to a maximum of 10 miles round trip
    • If repairs cannot be effected the same day, onward travel to either your home, or the original UK destination, or to a repairer. Or up to £100 for a hire car, alternative transport or overnight accommodation
  2. UK Breakdown Assistance, Recovery & Doorstep Assistance
    • Cover included in Cover Option 1 plus callout and up to one hour's labour for assistance within 1 mile from your home and, if necessary, the transportation to the nearest repairer up to a maximum of 10 miles round trip
  3. EU Breakdown Assistance, Recovery & Doorstep Assistance
    • Cover included in Cover Options 1 and 2 above PLUS cover within: Andorra, Austria, Balearics, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Isles, Channel Islands (not covered as a destination for Channel Islands residents), Corsica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, all European Mediterranean islands, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, San Marino, Sardinia, Sicily, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland
    • Up to £750 towards the cost of a hire car for your trip abroad should your vehicle break down and not be repaired within seven days prior to your departure
    • Up to £250 for roadside assistance abroad and if necessary, transportation of you and your vehicle to the nearest suitable repairer
    • Up to £750 if the vehicle cannot be repaired within 24 hours whilst abroad for transportation of you with your luggage to your original destination or a hire car to enable you to continue your trip
    • Up to the current market value of your vehicle in the UK for repatriation of you and your vehicle to your home if the vehicle cannot be repaired by the end of your trip
    • Up to £175 towards the cost of immediate emergency repairs and/or replacement parts that are necessary to secure your vehicle and allow you to continue your trip if it has been broken into
